Voted to not approve HB 501

March 14, 2019 The Maryland House Environment and Transportation Committee has voted to not approve HB 501, a bill that as introduced would have amended the state’s tethering laws and ban dogs from being left tethered outdoors unattended for more than 30 minutes when the temperature is below 32 or above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Welcome to the Responsible Dog Owners of Maryland, Inc.

As many of you may already know our organization was a result of AKC urging member clubs in Maryland to build a “federation” to get out in front of canine legislation in the State of Maryland that could affect how we own, play or even breed our dogs.
